Walden Grove Lady Red Wolves travel south to Nogales for the last non-conference opponent the Nogales Apaches. This would be the last of a marathon run for the Red Wolves, playing six games in eight school days.

The Red Wolves closed the first quarter down 13-17. “We were in it. That is all we ask for” said head Coach Jennifer Meza.

Despite the good start, the Red Wolves only scored 1 point on a Ryan Gilvin free throw in the second quarter. The Nogales Apaches would go on a 17-1 run in the quarter putting the game out of reach for the Red Wolves.

The Red Wolves would score 14 points in the second half compared to 20 points for Nogales.

Senior Guard Alex McGraw added seven points moving her season total to 57. McGraw also went 3-5 from the free throw line.

Senior Point Guard Lexi Mohler scored the game’s opening bucket and went 3-4 from the free throw line giving her 5 points in the game. That moves Mohler’s season total to 23 points.

Senior Rio Hidaka scored 4 points for the Red Wolves thus moving her season total to 22 total points.

Senior Mariana Gamillo added two points to the team total. She also went 0-2 from the free throw line.

The Red Wolves travel during winter break to go to the Arcadia Tournament in the Phoenix region.
